100% pure eye lens cells grown at Monash - Sydney Morning Herald

In an article today in the Sydney Morning Herald, Bridie Smith reports that
researchers from Monash University's Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute have
managed to grow eye lens tissue with 100% purity from stem cells.

The 100% purity is important to ensure they only develop into lens cells which then
makes them viable for transplant.

Perhaps just the prescription that one day could assist amateur astronomers who
have suffered cataracts being able to return to the eyepiece.
