The night and morning skies out here are beautiful with the naked eye and even better with your telescopes etc. I am 1 hour from Coona (Coonabarabran) and Gilgandra council is part of the agreement to keep light pollution to a minimum so even in town its good. OUt of town is wonderful
Coona and Gilgandra are about 4.5 to 5 hours from Sydney and the same from the Central Coast. (I'm sounding like a travel agent) but it is a great place out here.
Of course I want you all to come to Gilgandra, we have an observatory here that attracts lots of visitors, a camping ground out of town that groups use
I think it would be wonderful
You would need to check out Coona as well I guess
My 12" Dob is on its way from Sydeny, it must be in the area because a storm has hit and clouds are about!!
