I ended up with a large amount of amazing reference books last week,all given to me one was 'The complete book of Australian Mammals' by the Australian Museum.Its about two inches thick,and very useful for my animal spotting.
The lady that gave it,and many other large reference books,owns a property,I'd been doing yard maintaing and vermin control on.She came outside just before I left-(she's about 85-and told me she had caner and time was running out,and said she really thought highly of how I respected animals-even the naughty ones-so wanted to know if I was interested in her book collection-her husband was a uni professor,and the animal reference books they have are amazing-so was delighted to accept and give them a good home,she was pleased they are going to be used by someone that has an interest in animal welfare.)
