We've just had an plasterboard eave in front of our garage come falling down, thoroughly waterlogged. Looks like I'll be outside in the rain this arvo with some plastic to prevent further water ingress into the ceiling space. It will be an insurance job, but I think I'll leave the emergency repair guys to deal with the more serious damage this afternoon.
Australia Day weekend isn't a great time for us - last year the air conditioner overflowed into the ceiling cavity, giving us an indoor water feature. We initially thought it was a leaking roof, but turned out to be a dodgey AC install.
I'll admit to collimating one of my scopes last night - had to try out the takahashi collimating scope I bought last year. This afternoon, I was planning on installing a thermistor on the primary mirror to see if I can work out why the mirror dews up so quickly, but that will have to wait.
