Mmmmm.. I know someone who in his younger days was rather gung-ho, until a collision with a horse, 25 years ago in the Hunter on the Broke Road near Pokolbin - he came round a fast corner to find a horse in the middle of his lane and no alternative but to go under the belly of the horse.
He ducked, fortunately, as the impact tore all the windows and roof off. An instant convertible conversion, you might say.
Horse was killed, and the car went over the edge into a soft paddock...
He has been a very conservative driver ever since...
