Rick, I have been using a star lapse from Losmandy. It has variable speeds for panning starting at 7.5 degrees an hour to 240 degrees and hour. I mostly use 20 degrees an hour. You can also use the mount for polar alignment modes and there is even a declination module to set the mount up for guiding. Recently I have taken to having two cameras on the mount at the same time so I can pick up two lots of time lapse data.
