That's the really confusing part. Both Dennis and I ARE using a NexImage!!!!
So how are you able (also using a NexImage) to get anything longer than 1/25th of a sec using the K3CCDTools interface when we can't???
I can get 1/15th and 1/10th etc when using the AMCap software that comes with the camera but it's not so handy. You don't get exact numerical readings for brightness, gain, gamma etc
There are other drawbacks too, but I've forgotten what they are since it's been a while since using it.
