Celestron C8 - 1994 info required
I have just brought what I believe is a 1994 Celestron C8, I want to modify the electronics to include a guide port. I am looking for any information that is available. In particular a circuit diagram for the electronics and any information about the motors. I was told it was a stepper motor but it looks and sounds more like a DC motor with a gearbox. It is apparently a spur gear drive (although I haven't pulled it apart yet).
Does anyone know if anyone has modified the DEC control on these to give continuous drive rater than the limited adjustment the original has?
