Walked home from work as usual (Potts Point to North Sydney, about 6 km), and would have passed Observatory Hill round about 3 pm, when it hit the record. Wasn't too bad I thought. Tuesday last week when it hit "only" 42 was worse imo, because of the wind ... felt like walking in a fan-forced oven
. The bridge is normally full of tourists, but yesterday it was more or less deserted.
