My family and I lived in Poughkeepsie, New York, during the early 60's. It was a major IBM town, which is why we were there.
I've just been scanning old family slides and came across this. An X-15 parked at the airport next door (Dutchess County if I remember right). No security - simply parked on a trailer. I'm not sure they'd do this these days with a top secret aircraft.
You gotta love the USA.
