I may have to get some visual obs back in the dance card there Ron.
I had a quick squiz the other night after clouds ruined my imaging, it was a nice change. Not sure the 8" could pick this lot up visually though.
It was quite nice to have my youngest son Luke watching the screen with me as we took a "tour" of Tarantula, Eta Carina etc etc and showed him some quick and dirty CCD images of things he has only seen in the eyepiece before. WAAAY past his bedtime when we packed up around 2am. But it was nice to have him help me pack up too....
School holidays after all...
