Yeah those mag 5 and mag 7 stars really washed things out.
I was hoping for some more subs, but wispy clouds rolled in halfway through the run, so I think some of the reddish cast could be from that, or the (now understood to be visual) moon and skyglow filter. I had a hell of a time trying to remove the gradients even with the not so perfect flats I took.
I am still experimenting with what works at my location. Might have to look up when the IISAC is on this year and get some dark sky light years under my belt.....
