I'm sure that many of you are aware of this location already, but for those of you who aren't:
Twinstar Guesthouse is a Bed & Breakfast at Ballandean, in the Granite Belt region of Qld. It's about 3 hours from Brisbane, and about 15 mins from Girraween National Park. As you can see, they host some magnificent, dark skies - and take advantage of this by providing guests with a tour of them using their huge 18" Dobsonian telescope. In some of the other photos I took during my visit, you can clearly see airglow or the zodiacal belt.
I should also mention that Eiji and Naomi (the owners) are some of the nicest people that you'll ever meet.
Of course, in this particular image, my neighbouring guests turned their lights on and opened the blinds - so I AM aware that the front is over-exposed in places...
I'll get around to tweaking this image and try to reduce that a little when I get a chance. I'm always open to suggestions though.
