High Altitude Geminid
Snapped this short (and faint) trail, with my new Canon 24mm L II F1.4 (impressively sharp and very fast glass, allowed this to be hand held ! )
Taken just a fraction of a second after the fireball ( the tiny trail is still visible just above the centre of the frame) enroute from Hong-Kong to Sydney.
We were flying north of Mt Isa, overhead one (of many) scrub fires which the NASA APOD guys recently mis-identified as human settlement.
