I've been asked about the Cottam Atlas. This was the "Sky2000" of it's time. Large, almost A3 format. Compared with the others by Klein, Ball, Proctor etc available in the late 1800's this stands out.
It's interesting to compare it with the early Norton's (1910) - you can see why the compact sky projection methods that AP Norton used became popular.
