Bit of the Vela SNR with some Gum Nebulae in 3nm NII

The new guidescope setup is working well. It is guiding at about one second of arc rms error. The PL16803 imaging camera is 3.1 sec of arc per pixel.

With the guidescope firmly bolted to the camera frame it is the equivalent of off axis guiding without any of the drawbacks such as filter attenuation and distorted guide stars. Even though the flexure is minimal with the OTS frame it is still there for long exposures.

The last image is a screen capture from my computer monitor inside the house away from the mozzies of the laptop controlling everything in the observatory. With Logmein I have full control remotely of my system. This image also shows the tracking errors of the mount.

Astrograph is an Officina Stellare RH200 which has a focal length of 600mm and is F3, yes F3! Clear aperture is 200mm.
FLI Atlas Focuser.
FLI ten position filter wheel CFW-3-10 with 50mm square filters.
Astrodon E series LRGB and HA, NII, SII and OIII 3nm NB filters. Also a continuum filter 5nm.
Camera is a FLI PL16803 which has a sensor size 36.8 X 36.8 mm.
The FoV of this system is 3.5 X 3.5 degrees.
Mount is a Software Bisque PMX.
