haha yep - Its all about taking it to the limit! ... then upgrading! ... the never ending amateur astronomy spending cycle.
But I also like to think of it as 'the lazyman's guide to astrophotography' - wheel out the dob, line up two stars, press enter, then attach the camera and fire off snaps - no computer/cords/extra alignment etc required.
Saying that, i'm looking fwd to getting an eq6 with a RC8 (like yours) or perhaps a 10" newt, plus I also think my canon eos is hanging for that too, been running hot on high iso settings for too long ... If it had ears it'd be deaf!
