Thanks Dave and this may be due to couple of things.
Firstly, the seeing conditions when have shot the AVis have never been great. At best, the seing is around 6 or 6.5/10, which means that the data isn't top quality to start with. A lot of work is done during the processing,so the focus is really artificial. Another explanation may be the perspective. Imaging around the edge of the lunar disc may induce some lost of focus between the object of interest (eg Clavius) and the "horizon". Just some thoughts, I am not sure there is any validity in this.
