Hi Ken,
I'm looking at a refractor in the 4-5 inch range. Not too sure at the moment which one exactly, but considering the astrotech AT111ED (triplet) or maybe something like a skywatcher ED100/120. Good point about having to take the dovetail off when storing though. Didn't think about that. I guess I was just planning on leaving it all connected and put some sort of table cloth over it to keep the dust off.
I'm actually not sure what other gear / setup I'm looking at as I'm only slowly accumulating (very slowly). Want to do photography and will start with a few eyepieces for some visual too. I don't want to hijack this thread, but I appreciate all the input.
