Mushroom soup and Xmas decorations in the saucepan.

Hi,
This region of sky between delta orion and epsilon orion seems to be neglected somewhat. I did some home work but there are few images of this region, mainly close ups on IC 246, which appears like a small mushroom at the bottom of this image.
I didn't hold out much hope as the nebulosity is pretty faint, even single subs didn't show much. I was very surprised with the final combined image!
It's one of the most unusual area's of sky Iv'e imaged to date, and I really like it and will get some more data for it.
There was some whispy high cloud that drifted in and out, hence the rather large glow around bright stars, I think it adds to the image. Even without the cloud there's quite a glow.
Equipment.
Skywatcher ED 80, orion field flattener, baader fringe killer, HEQ pro 5 mount.
Camera Unmodded Canon 1100D, 8 minute subs at ISO 800 total 120 minutes.
Median stack in DSS, processed in PS7.
Cheers,
Justin.
