And at the end of the day it was still one amazing race to watch with so many
compelling moments -
The Ferrari's roaring around the Red Bulls within the space of a couple of
hundred meters at the start.
The Iceman braking late and deciding to exit the track on the right rather than
taking out his ping pong playing mate.
Vettel getting spun around by the collision with Senna and that in car view as the
pack is coming at you doing 200km+ and imagining the rapid train of thought
going through Vettel's head at that moment -
"Please guys don't hit me..."
"Car is not stalled. I have to get around and join the back of the pack now!"
"Hope the car isn't badly damaged".
"... the world championship".
Alonso straying off track (will his chances be over?)
Vettel's amazing charge all the way from the back of the pack passing
cars one my one on a super slippery track (the type of thing
you only can ever do in a video game on the Easy setting).
Adrian Newey looking at that wonderful A3 blow-up of the damage on Vettel's RB8
and analyzing it (images of wind tunnel airflow computations going on in
Newey's head).
It's carbon fiber. It should hold! But will it get worse?
Will the FIA give Vettel the black with orange circle flag?
Grosejean finally doing it to himself and taking a quick route to the barrier.
Webber being KK'd.
Hulkenberg passing a McLaren!
The battle of the McLarens (don't take each other out guys!).
The ebb and flow of the damp weather and what tyre to be on at any time.
The place was like an ice skating rink and Button is on slicks!
The Iceman taking us on the scenic tour of one of the tracks exits -
I can get through here - a dead end!
The forward looking in-camera views coming down the straight with the mist
of the car in front of you giving the most tenuous of visibility yet you are
closing on the car in front fast.
The two Ferrari drivers acting as team mates. The two Red Bull drivers acting as team mates!
Vettel has no radio, pits unexpectantly and watches for what seems like an
eternity as that last guy runs out of the garage with the intermediate tyre
(Red Bull should pay for that team member's gym membership)
Plus many more heart stopping moments.
