Light Pollution - Neb Filters

Greetings All

Ive been considering a broadband filter to help reduce the effects of a nasty street light. I had settled on an orion Skyglow filter or the Celestron LPR...but after some discussions with my local astro shop I got the feeling these filters wont help me as they darken way to much of the FOV.

Can anyone recommend a filter brand / type that they actually use ?

Would I be better off with a Meade Broadband, Astronomik CLS or Lumicon Deep Sky? My preference is a filter that will work under light polluted AND dark sky.....

Cost isnt really an issue but Id rather not throw away $$$ if the filter doesnt work....

Cheers

DD
