Larry, mosaics may be time consuming, but they are not difficult to achieve. You should give them a try. You will need Autostich (

Process your panels as images (from AVIs, using a sofware like Registax or Avistax 2), import them in Autostich. In a few seconds you will get a composite image of all your panels. Tweak it in GIMP. That's it!
