It was great to get to say "hi" to some of you who were still at Apres late
on Wedesday afternoon. With some shy family members in tow idling outside it,
for Mai and I it was the briefest of stays.

Though we were staying at a beach house on the Palm Cove head land, only
a short 15 min walk away from Apres, we had driven the day before and
observed the entire eclipse in cloud free conditions north west of Mt Carbine on
the Mulligan Hwy, south of the centerline.

We had been hoping that those on the coast and tablelands would have
also seen it, so it was sad to hear when talking to H and others that some had
missed out. However, those we talked to who had missed out were very
philosophical about it and were just happy to be there to enjoy life!

We returned to Sydney yesterday afternoon after a fabulous week.
