I'm sorry I missed meeting you guys at the Caravan Park. I woke up at about 1am that morning to the sound of what I thought was rain, but it was the wind in the trees
. I couldn't get back to sleep so I decided to go and set up in the location I had picked the day before, about 10km further west (not before accidentally turning on the air compressor, instead of the light, on my 5-in-1 power station). Got about an hours' sleep in the car there and was ready for the eclipse.
I left immediately after the eclipse (having changed one flat tyre and utilising the aforementioned air compressor!) to drive back to Brisbane and got back yesterday around 3pm. Got a sleep and now on night shift! The 4000km round trip was definitely worth it!
