We went on the big fast trip run by Quicksilver, but any of the fast trips to the permanent pontoons moored on the outer reef will be good. The Agincourt Reef is a good destination. Ask them:
- how many head counts done before leaving for home? (2 is good!!)
- time to get there (it is surprisingly far)
- do you get a meal (a buffet going there or back is good, but more expense)
- what facilities at the dive site (a fresh hot shower is terrific, cold is good)
- what safety procedures there (a lookout is good, an inflatable at the ready is terrific)
- what gear is provided to you (masks and flippers in various sizes is good)
A thin shorty wet suit is a good thing even though the water is warm enough. To be really really safety conscious you could tuck a small mirror down your suit.
