Grubby little secret

The reason Labor have wanted to axe the scheme from day one is that "rich" people could access the scheme. The replacement scheme(cynically to start AFTER the next election) is nowhere near as generous and is targeted to the so called "disadvantaged." The danger here is that a certain tipping point , life will be better for those not working than those working. Studies have shown that when those working get fed up with this unfairness, a rapid downing of tools will occur and the altruistic spirit NEVER fully returns. This is the sign that a society has collapsed.
Given that you will be paying for them, with 12 teeth, the flexible dentures may well be an option. Talking with colleagues, only about 1/3 are familiar with them. Ballpark fee for top and bottom flexible dentures, 12 teeth ,under $3,200.
Space Oddity's grubby little secret? I am a dentist who has been a big fan of the flexible dentures for over 12 years.
