Heres an idea for some one with an old focuser who wants to experiment with it .
Remove the Teflon wear strips from the housing and then drill and fit several of these>>Grub screw ball tip.
It will kinda make it into a Semi Crayford but you still have a rack in pinion.
This just gives an adjustable roller surface for the draw tube to ride on.
You can put 3 or 6 (one front and back) of them at 120degs to each other. This wil stop the rock and roll of the draw tube.
