It's always good to look at the natural habitat of a plant to get an idea of what it wants in terms of shade and soil conditions.

Also, beware of common names like 'Foxglove' when searching for plant details, they can mean different things in different countries. If by Foxglove you mean Digitalis purpurea, they grow in Northern hemisphere temperate regions, and are fairly tolerant of moderate shade to full sun in those regions.

In AU their main enemy will probably be the heat and dry, so I would err on the shady side.

Also, FYI, they are highly poisonous.
