As to TC's I just got rid of my old smegma (aka Sigma 2x) which I was using on my 300mm f.8 and D3. The Dang thing would never focus at all in autofocus. So with the dollar the way it is I bought a 2x Nikon and all is well at last. My opinion is genuine parts while expensive never fail to delivery.
