There are some great foreground opportunities up on Mt Buffalo which I will explore another night, but because I was hoping for a glimpse of an aurora I just setup the camera at the highest vantage point I could find with a reasonably clear view to the south. And yes this was the Pro Optic (Samyang) on the 5DmkII
