Hi Mike,

Ok helpful hints.

1) Use a darkened box for focusing and a towel or something so that you can focus easily. This also comes in handy for setting the etalon.

2) Move the etalon backwards and forwards until you see the most amount of detail. At the peak detail that is where you want to be. This is difficult and requires some practice.

3) Reduce gamma a little; not too much but enough to show you the detail.

4) Capture for around 60-100 seconds at first.

5) Try for frame rates of 15 fps. Manipulate the exposure to as low as you can while having the gain nearly half way and the histogram at 3/4.

6) Pratice as often as you can.
