Quite amazing to see the filaments around the dark spots meshing back into the surrounding twirls like tree roots. What's really interesting is that the 'bubbly' bits away from the spots seem to be fairly uniform in patterns and similarly sized like an array of neurones. Never seen that in such details before. Terrific shot.
