Just finished the final satin white coats to the old 150mm refractor. I like it, but...
Will adding a gloss clear enhance the paint protection much? Would gloss white look decent?
Most scopes do have a coat of clear over the paint. I suppose I could buy a satin clear and do it that way, but have automotive gloss clear on hand.
Pictures below. I shot it with DyMark satin white paint - superb adhesion, settling and uniformity.
