Am I right that you've sharpened the image pretty heavily? That fine, uniform grain texture looks like a sharpening artifact to me. The larger, more random shades and colours look more like the true surface features. Try having a play with your wavelet/sharpening settings...  .
You may not be able to get rid of the artifacts entirely. A lot of solar images have some sharpening artifacts... the legacy of trying to extract as much as possible in poor seeing.

Yes I have probably been too generous on the sharpening.
I find processing the Sun analogous to processing some nearby galaxies which are on the verge of resolution. Is one observing real detail or processing artefacts or noise?
Anyway here is another version where the sharpening has been reduced.
