Yes, Ron. Owning one's house takes a big burden out of the survival equation. I too have no debt, for which I am very thankful for, but that is by design. I haven't paid rent in nearly 30 years!
It would be really nice to have a full time job with good money, as there is much I would still like to accomplish, but then, I ain't going to kill myself doing it either.
I am reminded of an old adage "money doesn't bring you happiness", BUT I like to add "it sure does bring a better class of misery!"
