I have a trade, four diplomas, several certificates and a number of different licences, a fantastic work ethic, with an outstanding employment record, but it appears that I am unemployable.  Or maybe I am just too damn cynical.

I had a similar experience to you Peter,

I was given the boot from Telecom at the age of 58 after sixteen and a half years, and with lots of licenses and operators certificate's
I was unable to get a job for quite a few years ,I only small jobs that didn't last long.
Out of the seven years before I retired, I only worked for about 3.5 years.
