to what Dennis is saying David. I had similar problems with my ST7XME. I even went so far as to buy a Closet Camel and put the camera (without the dummy plug) in a large ziplock plastic bag (clothing vacuum bag) for a day beforehand. Then bake the plug and replace when cooked, put your hand in the bag (with the O ring on now ) and seal the camera.

I've used the camera a couple of times since going from ambient to -30 below ambient straight from scratch without any sign of frosting. The last time was only a month or two ago
