I've had some good questions, I hope it is okay that I post them here:

1. when you wrote that " these units are now interconnected items are interconnected and cannot be separated, does this mean they are glued or stuck together ?

No, it is just the solution is a nice package right now. All joints can be separated. The length from the tilt mirror to the ccd is just right.

2. are you able to send example images you've taken with this rig?

I'll add some, but really the camera is producing nice a smooth images, and depending on your capture and processing skills, this will vary between us all. I'll find some.

3. do you know the backfocus distance required for the full rig?

Just a quick measure, the optical length is about 97mm to 103mm.

4. when you said that the focus wheel is perpendicular did you have problems with it not seating perpendicular ?

Yes, and this was apparently an issue others have faced. It was a simple fix, the servo drive was simply not seated properly. The wheel is nicely rotating dead flat.
