Almost beaten by condensation

Managed to sneak out of the house last Saturday with a mate of mine that had never done any astrophotography and drive about an hour south of Perth to capture this photo over the jetty at Lake Clifton. This was my second attempt with this camera and i was hoping to get a short time lapse.
We were plagued by condensation all over the cameras and lenses as the temperature dropped suddenly at around 10.30pm. Managed to capture this just before we called it a night. The jetty was lit with a LED Lenser torch in a single sweep during the 30 second exposure at f/3.2, ISO 4000 on the D800.
I have since ordered a dew heater that will hopefully beat this problem and allow me to get the time lapse that i really want to get at this location.
