Lovely M33 David - particularly given that it was barely above the horizon during dark clear periods. How many hours of data is that? I did capture about 1.5 hours, but am not expecting to wow anyone with that

Andrew - also some great images - this year I found myself becoming increasingly interested in the very wide field images - regretted not having the Canon 8-15mm lens. Love the one of the DOB with the Milkyway behind.

The Canon 135mm L is great for sure, but I have heard fantastic reports too about the 200mm L f2.8 - super sharp and contrasty and good with the 2 x extender too so pop that on your list too - and whilst you're at it, get one for me too

I will be sending pics through as soon as I have my new desktop computer - should arrive next Tuesday (500GB SSD, + 2 x 1TB; 32GB RAM and Intel i7 quad core - topped off with Windows 8 Enterprise - should run like the provervbial, but won't because they never do!).

In the meantime here's a couple of the star trails - not as good as the one lost with the laptop i think - and shame I just got the lens hood in the top right on one, but fairly effective nevertheless.
