New Image Train Tests

Hi
I've only ever used my SBIG ST3800 attached to my ED80 piggybacked to an LX200R. I have wanted to use the LX for imaging but didnt want to do so af f10 (the pixels on the ST are too small).

So I shelled out for an Optec Lepus reducer (seems to be the only reducer around for ACF type scopes) and after some false starts managed these test images last night at f6.2 on the LX200.

Its also the first time I've used the SBIG STi with the lens kit for autoguiding - works a treat and very lightweight

Omega - 40 mins of data
M16 - 45 mins of data

Pretty happy with the results - just need more data now.

The only thing i would say is that the Lepus needs a really long adpater to keep the right distance from the 8300 and this makes it fairly unbalanced and bangs into the fork if youre not careful
