What a lovely dilemma to have!
I'll leave specific advice to others, as it's not my area of expertise by a long way. Gut feeling is that you could do some nice photography and spectroscopy with that set-up, but I'm sure others will help. One other thing to consider would be whether you want to have a budget for accessories, such as an eyepiece or two, in order to do some visual astronomy as well. Hope you get a nice scope!
