Hi there all,
I would very much appreciate some advice! I am currently a uni student studying a B science maj in Phys and Stats (So obviously im poor starving uni student) but! my family have got together and said that they would all put some cash together so I can get an awesome telescope.
I've always wanted to get into astronomy and astrophotography. So i was wondering would the following telescope be a good choice for taking deep space images and for studying the spectra of stars:

using:

and a Canon 50D with a T ring.
Also can anyone suggest some lenses that would go well with the telescope. I have a fair idea but its such a major decision and its one i don't want to rush! I have been looking for 9 months now and I think I've narrowed it down to this one... but that's why im here.
