I have accounts with FB, Twitter and LinkedIn. They are personal pages and I never upload images of my family/kids onto them.
Being a GenXer means most of our friends are on those and that's their preferred method of contact/update.
My wife prefers snail mail and email, but she never (or very rarely) gets replies. She sent an email to a friend of ours in Qld a few months ago asking how her pregnancy is progressing, but didn't get a reply. A few days ago, I saw photos of their son on FB
So now she is seriously thinking about a FB account, just to keep track of what our friends are doing...
