M17 - the Omega Neb

This is my first image since I fractured a couple of discs inmy back. it's been 9 weeks since I did that, so a longish drought. And I had to limit myself tonight to get this much - it's just 6 x 5 minutes of Ha, OIII and SII with an artificial Luminance (SHO] added for good measure.

The major significance of the image is that when I busted my back I was sorting out a WO FLT110 I had bought and fitted with a new Moonlite with SX wheel, OAG and Astronomic NB filters but with one thing and another I hadn't managed to get it all together in time to actually image anything. So this is both a return to the observatory for me and the first light for the FLT110.

The camera is an ATIK 4000 (same chip as SXVRH16).
I am quite surprised by the sharpness of the images and by the extent of OIII that it seems to have taken in.

Any comments welcome.
