It's never a good idea to put your phone number (or address for that matter) on a forum. While 99.9% of people are decent, the 0.1% of people who aren't still adds up to a large number. There are other opinions, but I've heard too many horror stories to change mine. I learned it the hard way a long time ago.
Also, IMHO, it's not fair to ask the seller to call at long distance and mobile rates to discuss the matter - that could add up to $$$ depending on his phone plan. He may call, but I know I wouldn't.
There are quite a few reviews and comparisons for this item online - if you haven't already, google "Baader Hyperion 8-24 zoom review" - you'll get plenty of hits.
