Interesting to see the full entry pool, the total number of images entered was less than I expected (169) and Deep Sky remains the most competitive category with 3 times as many images entered compared to Solar System.

Deep sky with David is tough...and was asked by David which image I would have picked.
The answer was "none of the above" (sorry Phil..but hey...so what
) and suggested Martin's M81...which didn't even make the cut...but it's David's call, and if you don't like that, don't enter.
That said...I'm very chuffed at David's response (according to the Sun-Herald) to my "King of pain" image ie: "What the heck is that!?"
As I've said earlier...any image that makes you want to cross a room and take a closer look has to tick a few boxes.
