Thanks Greg, the excess green is due to a weird thing that happens sometimes with my flats. If I calibrate my red frames one part of the image has misalignment in the stars (by a long way) so after I stack them there are multiples of the same star, If I dont use any flats there is no missalignment. So the excess green is due to there being some vignetting in the red that is uncorrected.
