Update,

Here is a few more pics from our recent Trip.

Leon - We are very lucky to live in this country. It is truly beautiful and I can see why you keep going back to the outback. Australians should experience the proper bush at least once in their lifetimes. As a 17 year old It gave me a genuine sense of this land and its history. Definitely influenced my outlook on things.

Steven, Thanks for your comments. As for the ceiling of the cave, it is just porous sandstone with mineral pebbles which capture the light well. Hence the glowing appearance.

Enjoy

Hi all,

Just returned from a fantastic trip to central Australia and Darwin. Had not been back to these regions since I travelled and worked my way round this big old country as a 17 year old in 1989. My wife's first trip to the outback and she was simply in awe. Helps one appreciate the origins and power of the Dreamtime.

Here is a snap taken on the walk around the base of Uluru. Truly an amazing place to take photos. Even a hack like me can get some decent shots.

I particularly liked the contrasts of the ochre colours effected by direct and reflected light.

Hope you like

Regards Heath
